Car history: |
2) No power steering, Non power disc brakes, Manual windows, Manual transmission (M-20), 327ci/350hp motor, Factory sidepipes, Full hardtop, American Racing custom wheels, Standard black interior, RARE speed warning indicator. The vehicle received an OLDER RESTORATION within the last decade. Recently, the suspension has been upgraded with all new bushings, shocks and heavy-duty springs and the car really rides very solid and secure without the usual rattles. Motor was completely machined and rebuilt by professional shop sometime during the early part of 2000-2001. Transmission was completely rebuilt in 2008. Brakes and steering parts have been replaced. Interior is in EXCELLENT condition throughout. Seats are very clean showing no noticeable rips. Dash and door panels are overall very nice, as is the console and instruments. Carpet is very presentable with newer Corvette crossed flag floormats. Soft top is in overall VERY GOOD shape with no rips. Rear plastic window is foggy and a little discolored, that's about it. Motor sounds absolutely beautiful with no valve tapping or any chatter. No exhaust leak. The sidepipes sound great. Transmission shifts beautifully and very tight with a nearly NEW clutch. Underside has a ROCK SOLID with EXCELLENT frame rails, solid birdcage, very clean windshield pillar posts and overall spotless chassis from what I could see. Not working: radio, tachometer, headlights do work but sometimes they go up and down by themselves when turned on (minor vacuum issue), wipers (need new vacuum lines), clock, horn. March 4, 2009. 1) FACTORY OPTIONS: Manual transmission (M-20), 327ci/350hp motor, Factory sidepipes, Full hardtop, American Racing custom wheels, Standard black interior, RARE speed warning indicator! Vehicle has been owned by the previous owner for the last few years. The car has been kept in climate controlled garage and taken out maybe 1-2 times a week during the spring and summer months. The vehicle received an OLDER RESTORATION within the last decade. Recently, the suspension has been upgraded with all new bushings, shocks and heavy-duty springs and the car really rides very solid and secure without the usual rattles. Motor was completely machined and rebuilt by professional shop sometime during the early part of 2000-2001 (unfortunately the machine shop decked the block, and erased the numbers off the original pad on the front of the passenger side cylinder head, proving that this was a MATCHING NUMBERS car!). Transmission was completely rebuilt in 2008. Brakes and steering parts have been replaced and the car is basically able to DRIVE ABSOLUTELY ANYWHERE at the drop of a hat. Interior is in EXCELLENT condition throughout. Seats are very clean showing no noticeable rips. Dash and door panels are overall very nice, as is the console and instruments. Carpet is a bit worn but still very presentable with newer Corvette crossed flag floormats. Soft top is in overall VERY GOOD shape with no rips that I could see. Rear plastic window is foggy and a little discolored, that's about it. Motor sounds absolutely beautiful with NO valve tapping or any chatter. NO exhaust leaks. The sidepipes sound great. Transmission shifts beautifully and very tight with a nearly NEW clutch. Underside has a ROCK SOLID with EXCELLENT frame rails, solid birdcage, very clean windshield pillar posts and overall spotless chassis from what I could see. This being a nearly 40 year old car, it is NOT perfect anymore. PAINT on the Corvette shines well and looks very good for a nice higher end driver, not a show car. Some minor imperfections here and there, including a few spots towards the center of the hood, otherwise very clean throughout. Not working: radio, tachometer, headlights do work but sometimes they go up and down by themselves when turned on (minor vacuum issue), wipers (need new vacuum lines), clock, horn. Spare tire carrier is not connected, but I do have a complete assembly with the spare itself if desired. 48,763 miles. Paint from th eowner. January 16, 2009. |
